Trying to get into the swing of things...

I actually have just about a month before I really go back to work.  We are starting super later than normal.  The kids don't start school until the Tuesday after Labor Day!  Unfortunately, that means we totally go until June 15th next year which stinks.  After blog stalking this summer, I have tried to get myself back into the mindset to get going!  You guys have so many awesome ideas and I am going to try not to "steal" them all!  I did take a little bit of time the other day to work on a new homework template.  I will admit, I really don't care for homework.  I am always putting together my packet at the last minute on Monday before it goes home.  I know it is good to practice skills with parents at home but I am just a huge procrastinator.  The whole point of me telling you this is that I had seen some ideas on www.proteacher.org and decided to make my own tic-tac-toe homework.  That way the kids have some choice and the only thing that I need to do is work on the template every so often and add a math page.  The rest is up to them!  I am going to try to attach to show you but this is my first time so who knows how it will work out!

I am making the jump into teacher blogging!  Once I found teacher blogs, I became kind of obsessed to see what other teachers were doing.  It is awesome to see what everyone is out there doing and getting inspired by so many wonderful ideas.  So I decided to finally bite the bullet and join in on the fun.  Of course, I totally join this world at the END of the school year.  We just have 8 more days of school left but who's counting!
